Notes on plans in the Milne Collection:
* Plans dated 1921, 22, 23 seems to be drawn by Milne himself, most are drawn by other members of the firm.
* Some of the earlier plans are hand tinted by Milne.
* Job numbers do not always indicate sequence of jobs over time
* Item numbers do not always indicate any particular order
* Plans mostly for wealthy clients or larger firms
* Plans originally came in large brown envelopes with a number on the front and the name of the client. This number is reflected on the card index.
* Materials in the collection vary and include plain newspaper, tracing and tissue paper, linen, butter paper, cartridge paper, ozalids and blueprints.
* Some plans are in very poor condition, some had to be buffered due to acidic properties or sticky adhesives. Many are folded and creased.
