ProjectsIntegrating energy, public health and sustainability/greenhouse considerations into benchmarking reuse system performance Integrating energy, public health and sustainability/greenhouse considerations into benchmarking reuse system performance Published: 17 March 2017 The project is part of the national Industry-academic exchange program for water recycling. The project developed and applied energy benchmarking successfully employed for optimising wastewater treatment options to water recycling systems. The project integrated public health, energy and environmental considerations in a bid to make water recycling operations more energy efficient by optimising their management and operation. The benchmarking method was trialled on three full-scale South Australian water recycling systems, resulting in the identification of a number of optimisation opportunities.
