ProjectsIdentifying new factors associated with cognitive decline and delirium after transcatheter aortic valve implantation Identifying new factors associated with cognitive decline and delirium after transcatheter aortic valve implantation Published: 28 March 2023 This clinical trial, funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council, seeks to identify factors associated with cognitive decline and delirium following transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). A range of factors from geriatric and ageing research were investigated at baseline, including gait, visual symptoms, voice, dysphagia, mood, and sleep. Secondary outcomes measured include quality of life, activities of daily living and mortality. The data associated with this project was collected through several medical facilities in Adelaide, South Australia. The names of the facilities have been removed to ensure the anonymity of the participants.
